Our competition entry, Sustainable+, is resolved as a project that challenges the term ‘sustainability’ in a broader sense. With a minimum goal of generating a Plus Energy Building, BREEAM-NOR Outstanding ranking and a Future-built Model Project with ideal working environments for its users, the scheme has a further ambition of having a sustainably positive impact on the surrounding city and its inhabitants. The project activates the surrounding outdoor spaces with an integrated approach to instigate bicycle use while increasing the site’s walkability, encouraging physical activity and healthy living. Through resolved logistics the scheme allows for effective and safe deliveries and a natural flow through the site, with a feeling of personal security in the community and opportunity for public functions with an active and participating attitude to the cityscape.
